Given the chance to vote today and without really doing much research about the senatorial candidates’ profile and platform, my vote will probably for the following:

3. Escudero, Francis Joseph
4. Gordon, Richard
5. Honasan, Gregorio
6. Hontiveros, Ana Theresia
7. Legarda, Loren
8. Magsaysay, Ramon Jr.
9. Aquilino, Pimentel III
10. Trillanes, Antonio IV
11. Zubiri, Juan Miguel
12. Casino, Teodoro

Wildcard

1. Aquino, Paolo Benigno IV
2. Magsaysay, Mila Milagros Esperanza

BASIS

1. Experience. Should have at least held a public post. Legislation experience is highly an advantage and one should be willing to participate in a public debate.
2. With good track record as a public servant (as far as I know). Able to pass laws (author or co-authored). Accomplished good projects. Not involved in any killings or shootings. Love life is not an issue.
3. Progressive thinker but not required. A lawyer is preferable but not also required. An accountant or CPA, highly advantageous.
4. Gut feel.
