Soooo Green

Working abroad is certainly not one of my career options. When people attempts to ask me ‘bout this, I’ll always tell them the negative—not even a dream. But of course, except for a trip adventure.

I strongly oppose to the massive exodus of nurses and doctors going abroad for greener pastures. It’s because they are much needed here and the country’s health care system is in jeopardy. But basically it’s for practical reasons and we can’t blame them.

Ironically, until I received this email a month ago and just recently I had this chance to chat with a former colleague in the firm, that's when my brain started to screw this thought as one of my alternatives.

Three of these palms will be made with th last one being the largest of them all. Upon completion, the resort will have 2,000 villas, 40 luxury hotels, shopping centers, movie theaters, and many other facilities. It is expected to support a population of 500,000 people. It is advertised as being visible from the moon.

All of this was built in the last 5 years.

This is what Dubai will look like.

The Al burj. This will be the centerpiece of Dubai Waterfront. Once completed, it will take over the title of the tallest structure in the world from the Burj Dubai. The booming industry of Dubai is really fascinating and offers a great numbers of job opportunities for many Filipino professionals. Dubai is greener probably but I’m not saying that I’ll go there specifically. As previously stated, it’s barely an option. I’d rather work here still—if makahanap ‘ko ng work na maganda—more lucrative. Haha. I’ll just see and wait till what happens then. Aja!
